Basket: rivercane, storage [cherokee]
Native people do have a different look at nature tyhan us like highly acculturated western immigtants - nearly all western world is inhabitated by immigrants. The basket which shows with a description when clicking the link is made by a Cherokee lady which has been very skilled in the traditional weaving of colored reeds giving products partially a piece of art partially a basket traditionally for possibly ritual use.
The way native people think about the gifts of nature is far away from seeing only a beautiful painting of this flowers at the right - somebody who looks for using natural products would test wether he could use the color of the flowers to paint his materials with.
